General Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for processing, tracking, and administrative duties pertaining to inbound and outbound raw material and finished goods.

Works under general supervision from Buyer; relies on experience and evidence to plan and accomplish tasks; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Fact-based decision-making process.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Issues Purchase Orders to suppliers based on supply strategy from Buyer.
* Uses Fact-Based decision-making skills for order cycle analysis and method of delivery.
* Primary responsibility is replenishment of materials or finished goods.
* Manages the Po to Payable process for each Purchase Order for on-time delivery and risk to the business unit.
* Assists buyers in the tracking and tracing of orders.
* Maintains frequent communications with suppliers/providers to ensure efficiencies in information gathering.
* Helps manage Vendor Price Maintenance (VPM) at direct of Buyer.
* Assists in developing reports and compiling market information.
* Prepares various reports and correspondence on a regular basis.
* Assists in processing reports, documents, and purchases in a timely manner.
* Assists in preparing near-term forecast based on supplier lead times.
* Assists Buyer in preparing long-term forecast with forecasting team as needed.
* Assists in assigned special projects
* Assists Buyer in RFP's, RFI's, and Expressive Bid Events.
* Works closely with inventory coordinator to manage suppliers and materials based on fluctuating market lead times or changes in production schedule.
* Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge
* Minimum Associate's degree or equivalent industry experience or related discipline is preferred.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook, and other business software.
* Experience with Inco-Terms for method of delivery preferred.
* Experience with VMI, Consignment and other inventory programs preferred.

Skills and abilities
* Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking.
* Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public.
* Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment.
* Ability to use a computer, and proficiency of the use of MS Office and other business software.
