Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and client representatives. Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and software. Communicate with clients on systems application. Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements used in the retirement solutions. Ensure system objectives are met and that the outputs produced are in accordance with business requirements. Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Participate in software design meetings and will analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Communicate with internal Training, Relationship and Product teams on systems application. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and external audiences.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: performing development with React, GitLab, JSON, Postman, and Unity; working with Agile management tools including Rally; utilizing Agile software development methodology to develop, test and deploy code to dev/qual/production regions; providing technical leadership for UI (User interface) development best practices and mentoring to other developers on the team; designing UI solutions and estimate the size of the effort required to complete complex, moderate to large scale projects based on their analysis of the requirements; implementing software using unit/integration and performing acceptance testing at the time of feature development; debugging large components with limited assistance and assisting with debugging; leading code reviews and providing feedback on others' UI designs/code; analyzing technical debt in software; working in the Retirement Plan services industry; and articulating business needs and translate them into technology solutions. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
