Job Description

Summary:

The Coach/Mentor coordinates the proper jobs for Training Technicians based on their training path while ensuring that they perform repairs correctly and efficiently. While making sure our Service Department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Training Center along with the Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager to set goals based on the Technicians skill set along with training progression. Monitor tech efficiency and ELR progress.
  • Work with Foreman to dispatch work to your team according to your teams needs and skillsets. Coach can develop both company and work ethics daily. Verify that proper repair procedures are being followed while being as efficient as possible.
  • Stay in constant communication with both the Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager on progress and needs. Complete a daily recap on progress and create OFI's. Keep all records and documentation and prepare for weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Inspect completed work and documentation. Verifying comments are precise and detailed. Monitor workspace and employees for Safety compliance.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance including working full shift and days scheduled

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience in Truck Service and technical background is preferred
  • Experience with Procede or other Heavy-Duty Truck DMS
  • Highly effective verbal and written communications. Professional demeanor
  • AA degree, technical school degree, or 4 years of related experience preferred
  • Computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, & Repair Order Processing
