About Us

Gerhards was established in 1986 in honor of the late Gerhard 'Gary' Poehling whose father started a wholesale company in 1897 known today as First Supply. In 1940, Gary established the plumbing showroom concept for contractors and homeowners to view kitchen and bath product displays. He worked as a truck driver in the early years and later as President and Chairman before his passing in 1998.

Gary's legendary knowledge of product, customers, and customer's needs combined to make him liked and respected by those who dealt with him. August 11, 2011 commemorated 25 years of the Gerhards name and began a new chapter of product inspiration, innovation and unmatched service.

Today, Gerhards is staffed with a dedicated, professional design team to assist in the selection process. Choose from a multitude of colors, materials and design styles as you browse hundreds of kitchen and bath products on display and ready to transform your new home or remodel.
