Job Description

Overview:

The Operations Data Analysis Intern will work with the Maintenance Operations Support group and be responsible for performing analysis and data visualization for various areas of the department.

Projects the intern will work on:

• Equipment Fleet Key Metrics Data Visualization
• Equipment Inventory Optimization & Standardization
• Equipment Maintenance Vendor Performance Analysis

Internship Goals:

Equipment Fleet Analysis:

• Develop new and maintain existing reports in Tableau, Power BI, Oracle BI analyzing equipment fleet and maintenance spend.
• Analyze existing equipment and vehicle fleet to define ideal inventory levels and support new equipment purchasing strategy.
• Use maintenance data to track external vendor performance and quality.
• Support equipment and tooling compliance tracking efforts.
• Create ad-hoc reports and develop high-level presentations to illustrate key data insights to Senior Management.

Financial Planning and Reporting:

• Assist with continuing automation of Maintenance Operations Forecasting and Planning templates.
• Analyze monthly financial reports; work collaboratively with financial reporting owners and operations personnel on data cleanup and development of a data-driven action plan

Qualifications:

• Major(s): Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, CIS, MIS, Operations or related field.
• Year in school: completed at least 2 years at an accredited college/university
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel (VBA knowledge a plus)
• Experience utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
